A young woman finds herself stranded off the beaten path when a lonely innkeeper offers some insight into the importance of showing love and letting go of grudges. Fed up with what she sees as her mother’s meddling and judgment, young Olivia has packed up her things to leave home. When her car breaks down in a small village, she books a room in a bed-and-breakfast for the night while she waits for the repairs. The kindly innkeeper, Angela, insists on her generous hospitality. Olivia remains cagey, but Angela manages to steer their conversation toward her daughter, who met a tragic end years ago, and teach Olivia something about the value of family.
